- Formulation, implementation and promotion of appropriate ICT based Policies and Programmes in the State;
- Identifying the ICT needs in critical sectors of the State with a view to addressing such needs
- Assist in the establishment of functional and reliable computer database and internet connectivity for MDAs, industries and other private concerns in the State
- Establishment, coordination and maintenance of a standard portal that will facilitate access to information and research on the Government activities and State potentials, especially its Commercial, Agricultural and Minerals Development, including (but not limited to) information on available infrastructure, through content development and periodic updates of the State’s MDAs websites.
- Coordination and supervision of ICT programmes in the State.
- Organizing, coordinating and carrying out ICT based capacity building Programmes for Staff of the State MDA’s to promote efficient, effective and timely service delivery.
- Carrying out electronic filing (storage) of critical documents and information of the State’s MDA’s, Industries and Private Entrepreneurs.
- Organization and participation in International, National and Local ICT based conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings, technical forum etc.
- Explore effective Public Private Partnership (PPP) in the development of computer softwares and programmes for efficient delivery and products development in the State
Supervise the activities of GSM service providers, Handset Repairers Associations and Dealers in the State
